Get to know your state with Knowledge Box Central's Illinois State History Lapbook! This lapbook is designed for students in grades K-8, and includes both a study guide as well as lapbook pages in a single PDF download. The included state-specific study guide provides background material, historical notes, and other factual information; students will explore state symbols, songs and landmarks, famous people, geographical regions, timelines of historical events, and more. Parents should note that this study guide is identical to the study guide in the sold-separately lapbook journals (which are designed for children in Grades 6-12) so that parents can cover the information once with students of all ages.

The download provides one PDF file, which contains the six booklet templates and instructions. The "lapbook base assembly and layout guide" provides instructions and diagrams to guide students on the assembly process; the student instruction guide covers what should be written inside each booklet. The lapbook booklet templates are designed to be glued onto manila folders (purchased separately). Students will complete booklets with information on the state's population, borders, statehood, land area, and more.
