In general the reading guides are really helpful. I use the discussion sections and some of the individual worksheets for my daughter to do. It’s a little too much work to do it all, so I just select the things that I think will make my daughter grow the most or help her process/comprehend the stories the best. Babe in particular was a blast to read with her. I especially liked the chapter where Babe is almost shot because he is mistaken as Ma’s murderer. Gave me some momentary Brothers Karamasov vibes. Ha! Good themes about judging to hastily, discipline, and patience. I’ll probably use this reading guide for my next three children as well.
