Look Inside the Curriculum

The major theme is the Bible as God’s revealed will and His loving provision for our salvation; thus, it stresses Messianic connections. It is our underlying desire to help students see how Scripture applies to all aspects of their lives, and that Biblical characters were real people, living in real places, who made choices to be obedient or not obedient—just like themselves!

This survey emphasizes important historical characters and places within a chronological framework. The major theme of the Bible as God's revealed will and His loving provision for our salvation is shown by stressing Messianic connections. A foundational assumption is that the New Testament builds on the Old. Underneath is a desire to help students see how Scripture applies to all aspects of their lives.

This Old Testament Survey is based on our 7th Grade Bible class and covers Genesis to Malachi.

Very good curriculum, pretty good organization/scope/sequence

This is a fantastic curriculum that encourages students to read closely. The selections are focused on the story of God's people in the OT, so there isn't work on the wisdom literature or the prophets, but that would likely be another year's worth of materials. The worksheets and well-organized and ask great questions of the students that help them focus on the text itself. It does not just go straight to "what does this mean for me" like many Bible studies do.

The only things that could be improved are the way the quizzes align with the lessons. The sample lesson plan schedule should include which quizzes should be administered after what lessons. The final exam prep could also be explained a bit more. There's minor typographical errors in the text every so often as well, although the NT survey has more.

All in all this is a great curriculum and perfectly placed for 7th graders.

Just Started, but So Far, So Good

We have only been using this curriculum for a few weeks, but it has been a good introduction for my son, who we decided to homeschool this year. He does his school work while I'm away at work, and then he brings his work book to me when I get home, and we go over his lessons for the day. It's pretty straightforward, and we're happy with it so far!

Excellent Resource

We are utilizing this for our high school co-op Bible class and it has been amazing! Engages our students with scripture and prompts rich discussions. The projects are excellent for all learning levels!

I love the curriculum

My only complaint is this last time I ordered the curriculum put together and it didn’t match up much with the lesson books I had gotten for the first grade. So I had books that I wouldn’t need and had to order more. For my older child, the curriculum pack I ordered always had what I needed to go through the lesson guide.
